Recommended Seafood for Type O’s
Make seafood a major component of the Type O diet.
Seafood, the second most concentrated animal protein, is best suited for type O’s. Fish is packed with protein, vitamins, and nutrients that can lower blood pressure and help reduce the risk of a heart attack or stroke. Many seafood are excellent sources of iodine, which regulates thyroid function. Unstable thyroid function causes metabolic problems and weight gain.
Richly oiled (Omega-3) cold-water fish are excellent for type O’s. Fish is filled with omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins such as D and B2 (riboflavin), rich in calcium and phosphorus, and a great source of minerals, such as iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, and potassium.
