Protein for Blood Type A
Type A’s should eliminate all meat from their diet, as meat is poorly digested and a source of unhealthy fat and cholesterol.
Vegetable sources of protein such as beans, nuts, and whole grains are excellent choices for this type. They offer healthy fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Meat eaters will need to totally convert to a vegetarian diet gradually. Begin by substituting fish for meat several times weekly. If you are partial to red meat, stick with the leanest cuts, choose moderate portion sizes, and make it only an occasional part of your diet.
The best animal protein choice for your type is poultry. Avoid processed meats like ham, sausage, and meat snacks, which contain nitrates that promote stomach cancer in people with low levels of stomach acid.
